Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data under UK GDPR.
Who we are
The data controller is [COMPANY NAME] Ltd (company no. [COMPANY NUMBER]), trading as Nexcom, whose registered office is at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] ("Nexcom", "we", "us"). [ICO registration number: XXXXXXXX.] Contact: privacy@nexcom.org.uk.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, billing address and, optionally, your Discord username.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processors. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP addresses, login records, server logs and resource usage.
- Support data: messages you send us by email or in Discord tickets.
Why we use it
- To provide and bill for your servers (contract).
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep our network secure (legitimate interests).
- To meet tax and legal obligations (legal obligation).
- To send news and offers, only if you opt in (consent).
Players on your server
Your game server may log information about players who join it, such as usernames and IP addresses. For that data, you decide how it is used and we act as your processor. We access it only when necessary to provide the service, investigate abuse, or where the law requires.
Children
Many people who play the games we host are under 18. Accounts must be created by an adult. We don’t knowingly collect more data from young people than is needed, we don’t use their data for marketing, and we design our services with the ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code in mind.
Sharing
We share data only with providers who help us run the business, such as payment processors, email, Discord and accounting tools, and with authorities where the law requires. We never sell personal data.
Our game servers and control panel run on dedicated servers rented from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Data stored there stays in the European Union, which UK law recognises as providing adequate data protection.
Retention
We keep billing records for 6 years to meet UK tax law. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your data, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. The client area and control panel use essential cookies only, to keep you logged in.
